Good start… like the design. Screen gets a little cluttered when you shake multiple times: appointment is overlayed over the squares, and the squares move with each shake, and sometimes I have multiple squares for the same notification…
Hi Alex, yes this is a known bug, should be simple to fix but wasn’t. I will try to fix it another time. Thank you for your feedback!
Bug fixed!
Do you have any plans to release a Fahrenheit version? My metric conversion is a little rusty.
Yes, right now! Come back in 15 minutes. Thank you.
Love the idea! Installed and I am seeing the weather and texts in the little squares, which is cool! But why no gmail notif? :)
My original idea was notifying ALL types of unread text messages altogether (including gmail and whatsApp), but Google has deprecated it’s gmail api in Android so I’m not sure I can do this as quickly as I wish. But it’s on my list! Thank you.
Is it possible to add in vibration on a disconnect from bluetooth? A short two vibrate burst would suffice IMO.
It’s possible, but I like the other way =). This could be a turn on/off option in configuration. Tks for your suggestion.
So whatsapp and fb message notifs are on the way? Brilliant :D
Hi Azeen, I have a new version that notifies Hangouts, Facebook, WhatsApp and Gmail. Would you like to beta test it? You should have Android 4.3+, as prior versions aren’t able to give access to notifications the way I need. Tks
Can I test out the Beta as well? Im on the latest android on a nexus 5.
Yes, I will send the apk to your email today.
I would love to, how can I start?
Just sent an invitation to you, tks!
Hi Jim, just to let you know that I released a new version that can be configured to vibrate upon disconnection, as you wish… just update your watchface and Android app (should be available in a few hours) and configure it through the official Pebble App in your phone! Tks
And, if possible, please vote for the app of the month! Thanks
If I have a long appointment it wraps over the top of when it is, say Gateway magazine release tomorrow it displays the word release over tomorrow but other wise seems good so far, but you really need to truncate the text to avoid this
Yes, I will check what’s happening. Thanks.
Hi Mark, daily appointment description wasn’t being truncated as regular appointments. Now it’s fixed, please wait for the Android App update from Google Play that fixes it. Thank you.
I like this watch face. Very simple and functional. I would love to see calendar appt. further out then 2 hours. I would like to see a static next calendar appt option. Thanks for your hard work!
Hi Kevin, thank you! Could you explain a litte bit more your ida of the static text next calendar appt?
Amazing watchface. Great work!!
Not trying to be high-maintenance, but the only reason I can’t currently use this as my daily driver is because I need the combination of a 12 – hour clock with Celsius. :-) Any possibility of this combination becoming available?
Thanks!
I see. Yes, it’s possible, would like to make a configuration tool but for now I will compile this may. Please come back in a few days, and if I forget, please post another message! Thank you.
Will do! Thank you!
Hi Trevor, the 12hr clock and Celsius watchface version is published (check for it on the right side menu). If you like it, vote for watchface of the month (the main watchface, not the sub one). Thank you.
Incredible… Thank you so much for kindly creating that version for me. I hope I’m not the only one who finds it useful! I have it installed and it’s working great! :-)
I just voted for the app – good luck, and keep up the amazing work!
A Fahrenheit version with 12 hour display would be great! Also, if the constant notification in the status bar could go away that would be awesome. I’m a bit of a minimalist, love the app!
Hello Zachary! In fact, a 12-hr and fahrenheit version is available. Just update your watchface and wait for Play Store update, and configure these options through the official Pebble App on your phone! About the notification bar, unfortunately this is not possible as Android would kill any app that doesn’t do this. But at least the new icon is cleaner than the one you have installed. And don’t forget to vote for the app of the month if you wish. Tks
Thanks so much for getting back to me! I must’ve overlooked that version, thank you for your patience! I thought I’d ask about the notification bar, no worries! I just I will definitely rate this (:
Hey,
Any known issues with the settings screen? I can’t get it to appear.
Might have just been an outlier, I had to uninstall all other watch apps.
Hi Tony, which platform is yours, IOS or Android? In Android, I couldn’t manage to open it in this new version. In Pebble Beta 7 and prior versions, it is OK, so maybe it’s a failure of the Pebble App. I will let you know. Tks
Oops, Android.
Tony, I verified that the red/black ‘settings’ button doesn’t work. You must click the watchface, and click ‘settings’ on the white/gray ‘settings’ button. Sometimes you should wait a few seconds, sometimes it won’t open at all, until you close Pebble App and reopens it. Thank you.
I could only get it to work the other way. Furthermore the settings do not seem to apply correctly and are reverted each time you open settings. The watch settings are also unchanged.
Finally got it saving settings. Lots of exiting and restarting.
Did it one setting at a time.
Could you give me more details? Which settings are not applying? 12/24 option will reflect on the next minute update, as the appt description will reflect when the Android App updates the watchface. You can switch to another watchface and come back to get everything updated.
I manage to return to config page and leave it through Save or Cancel without losing my options. Thank you for your help.
None of the settings would apply if I set multiple at once.
I have to apply 1, save settings and re-open settings to set another.
Tony, which Firmware 2 version do you have? Please go to Settings | About on your watch and check it. The most recent is 2.0 RC3. I think prior to some version, there’s a lower message size limit between phone-watch, so this may explain your situation, and maybe updating to the most recent firmware will solve it. Thank you.
Currently using 2.0-BETA8 – gbbb8905
Tony, there’s a more recent Firmware available at https://developer.getpebble.com/2/getting-started/. I was at RC3 and now I flashed the latest one, which appear as “2.0” in Settings | About. Both of them are OK to me. Please let me know.
Sorry, I misread. I went to Settings | About in the Pebble App
I was/am already at Firmware version 2.0.0 on the watch.
Alright. I will do some more tests as I was still in RC3, let you know.
I wouldn’t worry too much. I have already set the watch face up and it’s running pretty well. I’m happy. :)
Android
I just bought this from amazon and it keeps telling me to up date to version 2.00 but i can not find out how. Anyone please help if you know how
Hello Andy, first of all, is your Pebble connected to Android or IOS? As Pebble already launched their new App for IOS devices, it should be simple to upgrade it; if not I suggest that you go to http://help.getpebble.com/. If you’re at Android, as far as I know, the new App hasn’t arrived so I don’t recommend manually upgrading to 2.0 by yourself as you may damage your device.
Great so far looking forward to Twitter, Facebook and Gmail notices.
For me, an option to reverse color would be wonderful.
Kudos
Hi Blake. FB and Gmail are coming soon, now I’m beta testing it. If you want to try it, let me know. Twitter wasn’t on my plans but it’s possible, will test it. About reverse color, that’s an idea, will think about it.
Hi I added squares to my pebble I have iPhone and after installing I think this works only on android there is no where where I can see the settings so unable to change language
Just my pebble and I am running F V 2.0.0
Yes. The app is for android only.
Hi Jeremy. To configure Squares, please open Pebble phone App, click on the Squares screenshot, there will be a Settings button. Make sure you have Internet connection as Pebble app may need it.
Hi,
I use your app on android galaxy s2 plus. Can not find an engine sign in the watch app menu right from the square app.
Hi Peter, well this is very odd! Which version of the Pebble phone App are you using? If it’s the 2.0 beta version, I would recommend that you downgrade. If not, I don’t know… maybe rebooting your phone? Did you install the version from http://www.mypebblefaces.com? Maybe you could have installed an old one. Thanks.
I love it but is there any way not to receive FB birthday notifications? It won’t stop! Otherwise this app is brilliant. With this feature however, this app is useless to me. What do you link the alert to? Perhaps I. An shit off those notifications as well.
Hi Phil, is your Facebook events calendar getting synched with your phone? You should disable synching and FB events will stop showing on your watchface. If you think you have disabled this calendar but still receives birthday notifications, I can add you as a beta testers, cause we are testing a new version and trying to solve this issue. Please let me know if you wish to. Thank you.
I’m using SM Glxy S5 with Android v4.4.2 with pebble v2.1
So far the only complain that I have is that it still doesn’t vibrate on disconnect even when I turn on the “vibrate upon disconnection”
Hi Andre,
this may be due to the small message size of Pebble. I’m planning to reimplement the message system so it can be more reliable. For now, try to disable, save settings, then enable it again. Thank you.
Hi, I really like using your app. However, is it possible to implement the face so that the date and month ALWAYS SHOW no matter what? It’s really annoying to have to shake your watch to look at the date.
Hi Anna. That’s an idea I’ll put in my backlog! I’m now trying to develop an Ios version in my spare time, and will get back to Pebble later. Thank you for your suggestion!
Did you remove the car mode? I don’t see it in the settings I get when I click Pebble Squares in the official Pebble app or in the Pebble Squares app itself.
I can’t find car mode in the settings. Is it still a part of this app?
